Use this Quick Reference Guide to learn more about the Pumps Page.

Pumps Tab

Pumps tab provides summary information on each pump.

The screen includes performance on the pump curve, pump setpoints, and a trend graph of the Pump Health Index.

Pump Curve

The dark blue line, Tested Pump Head, represents the current full-speed head curve for the pump. This curve is generated by running the pump at different speeds and measuring flow, power, and pressure. Those outputs are then scaled (using affinity laws) to calculate the full-speed curve. More in-depth discussion on pump curves is available in this blog post on pump testing.

The cyan line represents the current pump curve based on its current speed.

Turn lines on and off by clicking the colored text in the legend under the flow axis.

Pump Curve (continued)

The red line represents current full-speed pump efficiency. For any given flow along the blue line, there is a corresponding point on the red line that specifies the efficiency at which the pump converts the power from the motor into waterpower.

The dark red line shows the efficiency for the current pump speed. If the dark red dot is either above or below this modeled line, it may be an indication of an operational issue with the pump.

Pump Setpoints (Desktop)

The table on the right shows the available options for pump settings such as speed, POR, AOR (allowable operating range), and pump exercise frequency.

See Change Operating Setpoints Quick Reference Guide to learn how to review and write these changes to the device.

Pump Setpoints (Mobile Devices)

On a Mobile Device, select Pump Information to view the pump-related setpoints. Use the scroll bar to see all available options.

Pump Health Index

The Pump Health Index characterizes relative pump health. The Pump Health Index is a ratio of the tested efficiency to factory efficiency.

Click on any line within the graph to see the pump test results from that time period in the Pump Curve.
