Frequently Asked Questions

Users may reset their own password by following the Forgot my Password reset flow. Two-factor reset requires contacting Admin to do it for you.

Admin may change within Settings menu from the Admin page:

  1. On the Admin Page;

  2. Navigate to the user;

  3. Click the Settings (cog) icon next to the username;

  4. Select Send Password Reset E-mail or Reset Two-Factor button.

Note: Reset Two-Factor will prompt the user to set it up when they supply a valid password.

Admin may change within Settings menu from the Admin page:

  1. Navigate to the user;

  2. Click the Settings (cog) icon next to the username;

  3. Select Modify Group Settings.

  3. Deselect the Account is Active checkbox.

  1. Confirm Tagger is getting power;

  2. Confirm green lights are active on the box;

  3. If both of those are good, trying cycling power to the box ONCE. Wait 5 minutes to establish connection.

Tagger Troubleshooting and Swap

All time-related widgets will show time based on the user's time zone or the time zone the user has selected in the navigation bar.

 

Right click the Logout countdown and select Disable Autologout. If you disable auto-logout and open a new tab or refresh the page, you will have to disable it again on the new tab or the refreshed page as those actions will re-enable autologout.

 

If you're being prompted for your 6-digit 2FA code on every login (even after opting to remember the device for 30 days), it could be because your cookies or other forms of client-side storage are being deleted.

This happens if you're browsing in incognito mode or if you have a setting enabled here chrome://settings/cookies labeled "Clear cookies and site data when you close all windows".

 

After you receive your “Welcome to Specific Energy” e-mail and set your password, you will be directed to set-up 2-factor authentication. We recommend using an authenticator like Google Authenticator as in the instructions linked below: https://www.specificenergy.com/twoFactorSetup.html

On a mobile device, select the “Copy Key/Manual Entry” option. Paste the key into the “Enter a setup key” option in the authenticator.

From desktop, scan the QR code from the authenticator app of your choosing or select the “Copy Key/Manual Entry” option.
